Well…I nearly pissed my pants and cried today when my graphics card decided to be fruity at the same time that I heard Dublin Darkwatch’s bow draw. I thought my laptop had been hacked. Seeing my SecondLife window shrink and go totally messed up I think I did the fastest job of cutting my net and doing as many things to stop any potential hacks as I ever have. Somehow hearing the tiny little Teemo’s voice in my headset saying “Never underestimate the power of the Scout’s code!” nearly had me losing my cool. I have been warned that “what goes around comes around” and that “Karma is a bitch”. I thought someone had really thought that hacking me was considered getting even and not WAY overkill. But thankfully, I realized, much to my own embarrassment that I had about 25 Window’s Updates and my graphics card needed a little love. But just to be sure I updated and re installed my software.
I digress! (I love saying that…)
Scimitar Archipeligo is undergoing a new build! The sim is home to both the mighty Alar, led by Jaym Wolfhunter and the Warmog Bandits, led by Inari Orchid. Both groups have very distinct histories, story lines and ideals. Hopefully the new build will be able to incorperate the two groups who live there and have a good balance of great roleplay and fun raids. Did I just say FUN raids? I DID! Yes, the idea for the new build will actually be following Hemloc’s Ratings for Superforts, and making sure that we have no gates, no kool doors, no fishbowls, and no deep water. The sim will be striving for a natural and aesthetic beauty that should also be fun for BOTH sides of a raid. Scimitar doesn’t want to be like all those other sims who build super forts and want to be able to win every single battle, in the end it should come down to skill with a bow, blades and general combat skill.
Won’t lie and say I’m not excited. Between Hemloc’s Blog and an updated blog; The Ryzu the world of fishbowls could soon be a thing of the past. I think if we had more tournaments and more chances for fair, leveled playing fields no one would have to worry about getting prim shot to Hell, or gestured lockpicking, or not being able to get through doors because of lag. Raiding would be fun again. Are there any other ways to encourage people to do simpler builds? How do we stop the fishbowls from happening? Well that’s all I have today, more updates to be coming soon! Have a great day everyone!
